@NinjaNerdOfficiallast year CORRECTION (Starting around ):
--I stated that PTU ONLY inhibits TPO and NOT methimazole, which is incorrect (I apologize deeply). The correct statement is that both PTU and Methimazole block TPO.
--Additionally I also stated that PTU and Methimazole block T4-->T3 conversion, Which is Incorrrect (again deeply sorry). The correct statement is that ONLY PTU inhibits the conversion of T4-->T3.
--I am deeply sorry for this mistake Ninja Nerds!!!

@karenwhitehead22605 months ago Actually i went into thyroid storm because i could not stomach the anti thyroid drugs (colitis /lactose intolorent) my t4 was 100. My t3 was 39. 5 id="hidden18" and tsh undetectable, i was put on the anti thyroid drug in sep 2018 afterdiagnosis, with in 4 days i knew it was flaring up my colitis, but gp just told me to keep talking it, i tried both, to no effect hence me going into thyroid storm because i ended up vomiting it back.
i eventually saw anin hospital and after the antibody tests and uptake scan i had gravestotal thyroidectomy in 2019, and now i have the same gut issues on the thyroid medication both t4 and t3 not combined, myas chopped and changed me from t4 to t3 ever since.
i got a diagnosis of primaryin 2020 and had a us scan which identified a nodule of (6/7mm) on the left, f18 pet scan in 2023 which showed an uptake in the right, turned out to be thyroid tissue (14 x 7 x 21mm) which was located just above the right thyroid bed and the thyroglossal tract, awaiting a 4d ct scan now. I' ve never felt right before and after full thyroidectomy
