NAKONDE CHINSALI ROAD

Works on the Chinsali-Nakonde road have advanced with the contractor pledging to tar at least 65 kilometers of the stretch by year’s end. CHINA State site Manager JI FENGLONG says works on the 210 kilometer road have been expedited following the end of the rainy season. Mr. JI has told ZNBC news in Chinsali that his firm has tarred about 23 kilometers of the road and works are progressing well. And Consultant JONATHAN MARVIN said the heavy rains experienced in the area coupled with the Covid-19 lockdowns have considerably reduced progress on the road.
