@katiehansen30784 years agoYour story inspires me so much. I have had terrible anxiety for a super long time and when I was young I could of never imagined of being on stage or on film at all. Just like you, my best friend Kim got into the theater in the 6th grade (which I'm assuming us like grade 6) and then somehow convinced me to join with her in 7th grade. Acting helped so much with my anxiety and it amazes me how far I've come. I'd really like to go into acting now and I know how difficult it can be, but hearing how you started almost the exact same way that I did really makes me believe that I can do it. I’m an all honors student and I feel like everyone expects more of me. I have kids and grand kids there. Glad the acting gig worked out, can't imagine anybody else as Simmons. I'm thinking of going to the BRIT school (performing college in Croydon)....but again scaredy cat me is....of course FAR TOO SCARED. My entire family envisions me going in to either medicine, physics or politics...so I'm not sure how to have the "hey fam...i want to go to drama school" conversation. I've grown up with acting always being alongside my intensive academic studies - BUT THIS VIDEO HELPED SO MUCH. I'm applying for NYT next round of applications, so hopefully that goes well.
