I have traveled around the world studying and researching about tourism attractions. I have discovered Amboseli National Park in Kenya is a home of the African elephants. Imagine, just a distance, the park is crowned by the one and only free-standing mountain, Mount Kilimanjaro, the Africa's highest crown peak. In case you didn't know, history and tradition is an African treasure which tells us that the name Amboseli comes from a special tribe which preserved its culture and traditions for over 500 years, The Maasai. The word Amboseli means salty dust. Isn't it spectacular? The day you land at this place, you’ll discover one of the best places in Africa to view large herds of elephants at your very short distance. What's an experience for lifetime to give yourself, your children, and friends? The day you get there, you will explore different habitats ranging from the dried up bed of Lake Amboseli, wetlands with sulfur springs, the beautiful savanna and majestic woodlands. It is at this place you can meet the indigenous Maasai community who live around the park and experience their authentic culture. Don't forget the big five. They're all around in the beautiful landscape with spectacular hills and swamps with big elephants all around and other big five animals. The swamps are also crowded by the beautiful, awesome Egyptian goose, hippos, and other singing beautiful birds all around. Visiting this place is a great deal for lifetime. Welcome to Amboseli. My name is Sharon Ringo mowo, Trade and Tourism Ambassador for East African Community. Thank you.
