Michael Burry is the famous investor profiled in the movie The Big Short, about the sub prime mortgage collapse of 2007-8. Burry made some predictions recently about inflation. His tweets and speeches revealed many interesting perspectives about inflation, Government, and what is likely to happen to the dollar in this 2020s decade. Since it was Burry who called the sub prime mortgage bubble, housing collapse, and recently the rise of Gamestop, it’s worth not only paying attention to his analysis, but understanding what it could mean for your future. So by the end of this video we will understand what inflation and deflation are, and why we risk seeing these this decade due to the actions of Governments. A few of the ways to insulate yourself from the effects of currency inflation include owning tangible assets (commodities, precious metals, art, stamps, property), investing in productive businesses which you find easy to understand, and investing in utilities which tend to perform well during periods of inflation.
