While the new normal we've been dealing with has made common interaction challenging, we can't deny how much technology has helped bridge the gap. Companies like Samsung are claiming an unprecedented 40% growth when compared to last year, so it makes sense for any manufacturer to double down on this success and take their products a step further.. Or maybe a couple of steps actually. I'm sure you saw the teaser where the company calls out its most powerful Galaxy ever, but if you were thinking of a phone or tablet.. Well, think bigger. Meet the new Galaxy Book Pro, and Galaxy Book Pro 360,.. the company's latest and greatest laptops, with one of these being more of a successor to one of my favorite products of 2020. Also, started considering Galaxy books for my next laptop (currently have a Thinkpad ultrabook) after your review on the Flex - would love to see a comparison between the Flex and Pro 360 (as well as the different S pens included). ... 4

@timlee27733 years ago Fyi, there's a trip of magnet on the top of the back screen. It's pretty much like the tab series pen storage. There is also the Flex 5G that launched a few months ago. 16

(unless they actually start up with ridiculously bad spec) What I really must know of that display is if they are using Super AMOLED Plus (RGB subpixel) or are they using their usual pentile that they put almost everywhere. So Jaime can you please cover that on your in depth review when you finally have time to play with the device itself.

@icentuche903 years ago Spen can magnet on top of the laptop when its closed. It magnets close to where your hand rests when you want to open the laptop. And windows 10 now supports Quick share 🔥 2

This'll be the best Laptop I've ever bought, even though I'll be paying for it for the next 2 years. @hybridinfodesk4093 years ago 3 they deliver on already I have Book S and it is sweet. But it is also Qualcomm. Intel, the jury is still out. I pulled the trigger on one can't wait to see what I get. I got a really good deal on it. Went thru the Samsung Pay So Fi app so they brought it down to $899. That's an offer I couldn't refuse. ... 8

Although I wish this time with big fancy Unpacked event indicate that Samsung will expand the availability to more markets because in my place, we can't get new Samsung laptops since years, quite disappointing ... ... 1

@Zactivist3 years ago Am I understanding right that with one of these I can use my Galaxy S7+ as a second monitor? If that would work for video editing and my tablet become a 2nd screen it could make my decision. Only other thing I'm waiting on is what Apple may do with the next round of M1 laptops. May be a long wait though. Adobe Premiere performance and tablet-integration in actual practice will be a huge deciding factor! ... 1

-Battery is not NEARLY as good as promised. It's good, not great.
-No dedicated pause/play buttons are disappointing.
Everything else is good-great. ... 1

Example: I use my iPad to read PDF sheet music. Will it hold in a music stand? Yes it maybe 13 inches but how much is that lower screen bezel is taking on screen real state that would make a pdf smaller than from what is displayed on an iPad?

@ragilmalik3 years ago Galium nitrate only replaces the silicon in the Mosfet. It is not that big a deal. It only allows like 10% more efficient in real life than the traditional silicon. 1

@nyccolm3 years ago Not quite. Mine is going back immediately. Terrible experience, a nightmare trying to get the damn thing set up properly, really glitchy and a dreadful s pen experience. Never had issues with my Dell XPS 13. This thing just feels cheap, and for $2000 bucks Canadian I got my return authorization number as fast as possible!!! Likely back to the iPad for me, though I was considering the Lenovo C940 or the new 9i ... 2

@andyH_England3 years ago Hopefully, in such a small package (thin and light), Samsung has not throttled the 11th-gen down? You do worry when Samsung only give YT influencers limited access and strictly no benchmarks allowed! So more promo to get those pre-orders moving.
As for battery life, I assume they have not made the same disastrous battery life the Galaxy Chromebook had with its OLED, though that was 4k and they have dumbed down to 1080p, which should help?
They have switched back from qLED to OLED after the laptops they released with that did not do as well as expected. Pricing looks mid-pack though different regions are worse value and/or not offered a full choice. If performance is not your main driver then this is shortlisted material, but there is a raft of ultrabooks out there, all pretty much doing the same thing. Samsung is no doubt hoping this will feed their fanbase. ... 9

@-RockOn-3 years ago Why couldn't they grow in the previous Notebook 5g with the world camera. That concept was really good. Also it had all ports and spen support etc. Only drawback was that it was a 13 inch not 15.

@HighguyMcfly3 years ago The real perks of owning these laptops is the screen and the battery life. Other than that I can think of at least 2 ultrabooks that beat the proformance specs of these things at a fraction of the price, just without the battery life or qled. And honestly with how cheep and thin those things feel, with how bad the deck flex is, clicking the mouse just by picking it up, i don't think these things are worth it. ...

@vitorized3 years ago I was waiting for this event, and it is BS. They've put so called core values that include great performance and screen. However, they put Intel instead of AMD more powerful chips, and the screen is only 1080p!!! Come on Samsung it's 2021! Companies are doing 90hz, 120hz, 3k2k, 4k panels. Ok, OLED is good, but in a 15" you can see giant pixels in a 1080p... ... 4
