what i ate in a day ~
I’m leaving for the east coast soon to visit my family for the holidays, so here’s what I made while trying my best to empty out the fridge.
lunch — sesame noodles + soft boiled egg
This is such an easy recipe I like to make and it’s ready in just about 15 minutes. Simply cook the noodles and make the sauce using the ingredients below. Then gradually add in the hot noodle water until you have a creamy consistency.
fresh wheat noodles
leftover noodle water (added last)
tahini
soy sauce
dark soy sauce
sesame oil
chinkiang black vinegar
sugar
garnish: chili oil, crushed sesame seeds + cilantro
dinner — cheese buldak (korean fire chicken + cheese)
Cheese and chicken are always a good idea and the gochujang sauce adds soo much flavor. I cooked it in a cast iron pan, then added cheese and broiled until melted.
chicken thighs
gochujang
gochugaru
soy sauce
mirin
oligo syrup
minced garlic
mozzarella cheese
dried parsley flakes for garnish
