FINALLY! Sony and PS4 have officially stepped into the premium controller market with the DualShock 4 Back Button Attachment. In this video I give my pros and cons on the device and also compare it to Collective Minds FPS Dominator. We also speculate about what this means for the PS5.

@GoldLynxMedia4 years agoI forgot to mention that you can save 3 different profiles to the DS Back Button Attachment and cycle thru them on the fly. 298

@jasonwolfe36394 years agoSony needs to make enough to keep up with demand they are sold out every where 477
@
@VenzoGames4 years agoThe PS5 is going hard on esports. I wouldn't be surprised if paddles are integrated in the DS5. They could also go in Apple's direction and sell attachments like these. I think option 2 is more likely. 278

@
@Writespeakdance4 years agoI have a back button attachment and love it. I'm not much of an fps player; I've mostly been using it for Bloodborne/Sekiro/Souls games, and it's great. You can map the dodge/run button to the left paddle, and then you can run through areas with one had drink a beer with the other. ...11

@CDubb4424 years agoI never opened my dominator because it was wired...also you’re right Sony need to drop a “pro” controller it’s about 3 years over do fam. 135

@blueeyedtech12344 years agoThis sold me on the back button attachment. Excellent video!
@
@OfficialJettEye4 years agoDope review bro. I definitely think they are normalizing the paddles for an eventual reveal of the DS5, which will likely have built in paddles. Glad to see that they did it well. Good shit bro. 19
@
@theviperking22524 years agoThanks for the video now i have no problem going and getting one. I have a dominater and i was looking for something with out the mods. I had a scuf and the piece of shit broke in like 1 year. My dominater is still working great after 3 years now. ...9

@
@spyder21144 years agoYou forgot to mention that there's (2) types of paddles for the FPS dominator. You have to buy the other type separately. But I agree with you totally. I have both and now use Sony more. Cool review. Thanks 4
@
@PairadiceGaming4 years agoI want to go ahead and say thankyou my good man, I bought the new backbutton and I have had no issues with it at all it is perfect, sometimes I do change controls mid game and everything, it’s so quick I don’t have to worry about inactivity kicking in, it’s good to know I can always trust you reviews 💯 Also if you want to add this in they are actually selling them at Walmart for like 25$ or something and that couple dollar difference definitely makes a change on my decision whether I should buy it or not, much love to one of my favorite channels ♥️ (pause) ...5

@
@AJ-nh8ik4 years agoI bought the DS Back Attachment. I love this thing. This thing turns your controller into an "Expensive Pro Controller" completely. These are so good that they are SOLD OUT EVERYWHERE. I overpaid for mine on ebay, but still worth it IMO. Word of advise to anyone who ends up getting one, Use it on a dedicated controller. When you take it off of your controller, you will swear you just broke it. ...3

@
@tommyscars79663 years agoMade a daring buy today on the back button attachment by Sony before seeing any reviews. Waiting to see how it goes after work. Thanks for the info!
@
@billygames71074 years agoI bought the strike pack fps dominator first, love it except no wireless. Then I got a scuff vantage..had a bunch of issues but overall it is an OK controller. It cost over 200$ and I had/have minor stick drift, sticky buttons and the thumb sticks don’t seem as accurate as the ds4...I now use a dual shock that I opened up and put scuff thumb sticks in(for heighth) no modification required. The scuff sticks fit perfect on my ds4...I now only use my ds4 with scuff sticks and waiting on this DS4BBA and I’m super excited. This review made me even mode excited. Thanx. Ima do a review and compare all three..👍🏼✌🏼✊🏼 ...32
@
@MrBAJACOUNTRY4 years agoI ended up going for the dominator. The paddles sold me tbh. Being tethered wasn't a deal breaker for me, I play in front of the TV anyway, and I don't have to plug in to charge. 5

@
@peppersprayyy4 years agoYou touched on some good points like price and comfortably but i feel you missed a huge part if you are a person who plays on PC with a PS4 controller. If you use the strike back on PC, the touchpad does not work without downloading 3rd party software which causes other major issues. The 2 button Sony Attachment works right out of the box on PC with no issues.I have both, but if you were undecided, i would get the Sony 2 button attachment. The products are not even close when you measure all the Pros vs Cons between the 2. ...4

@
@grapelund3 years agoI wish Sony would have slimmed it down some. It’s a bit too thick 7
@
@rhino32924 years agoStrikepack feels better IMO. I have both and a scuf impact. I prefer the scuf but they always break.i had the strikepack for 3 years and it is always reliable. I never had a issue and its vary comfortable . Only bad thing about the back button attachment is that it just feels awkward.the buttons are too thick and it a slightly awkward place imo.i used it for a few days then went back to the dominator. The ps back button attachment works fine and is wireless. Maybe someone can use to the shape of it but for me it didn't work. ...3

@
@AimlessCuz4 years agoI personally love my strike pack. Fits perfectly for how I hold my controller and not gonna lie, the mods are pretty fun 😂 I’d definitely recommend it over the DS4 back button attachment, simply because you get more for your money. Plus the custom cable you get with it is 10ft long so you don’t have to worry about sitting right in front of your ps4. ...3

@HakuShounen4 years agoReally comprehensive and informative breakdown and comparison. I've been getting sweaty in CoD and wanted a more "pro" controller. Gonna go pick up the Sony back button attachment. Thanks for the great video! 1

@corgii97794 years agoJust bought the PS4 backbutton attachment a few weeks ago, but I returned it today. It just feels so awkward and uncomfortable where its placed as it gets in the way where my fingers rest. But the buttons and bluetooth work perfectly fine. 3/10 ...4
@
@davidvasquez61974 years agoI've been adding buttons and paddles to my ps4 controllers for a while now. Doing it myself is cheaper then the strike pack. I purchased the Sony attachment to give it a try since it was only $25. I have to say it's perfect. It's super easy to use and ergonomically designed. It's more convenient then moding my own controllers plus I can swap the attachment from controller to controller. Kve tried rapid fire mod chips and I don't like them so I never gave the strike pack a try. I only like having remmapble paddles/buttons. Sony is a but late but they did good with their attachment. I give it an A ...1

@sgt_plague77463 years agoWatched this back in august 20, bought the DS back buttons as a result. It’s great, after a week or so it’s second nature. I did have some issues with the headphone socket, and upgraded headset to SS Arctic pros (usb, wired) Agree the back buttons are slightly on the chunky side, but at the same time, I have dropped the controller from chair height and they were fine (would the scuf or strike pack have survived?). I do wish however the DS buttons had 4 instead of 2 buttons, ability to ping (on Warzone) whilst moving and shooting would be great. Edit: forgot to say, a mate bought a set for Xmas and he loves them too, he’s playing better too lol ...
