I never knew that dragonfly and #damselfly are not same😅, unless until i meet this blue beuty. it was very thin and tiny. Then i started thinking that, may be its not like the dragonflies i see often they are chubby with very big eyes and we can see it looking around all the time. so, i searched and read more about this and found that its a damselfly not dragonfly😅😅. dragonflies and damselflies belong to the order Odonata, which means toothed ones. Both are formidable, carnivorous predators but friendly tohumans. In fact, they do us great service by preying on much more harmful insects like horseflies, mosquitos, midges and gnats. They are also a joy to watch fly and observing everything 😅- dragonflies were among the first creatures to gain flight nearly 300 million years ago(pretty much an ancient creatures😄) and are now inspiring scientist who design future aircrafts. Dragonflies dart, they glide, they hover and they can move each of their four wings independently of the others. Some are bold, coming right up to your face for observing you precisely, while others are skittish and dart about. At first glance, dragonflies and damselflies look similar but they have a number of distinguishing features. Dragonflies Chubby and chunky body,Large and broad hind-wings and small front-wings,Big eyes touching at the top of their head rest with their wings outstretched Damselflies Slender body,Front-wings& hind-wings of same size ,Eyes widely separated,Rest with their wings folded along their body https://ml.m.wikipedia.org › wiki #നീലച്ചുട്ടി#ചെറുനീലത്തുമ്പി#BluetailedDamselfly #Aciagrionoccidentale,#greenstripedslenderdartlet is a species of damselfly in the family #Coenagrionidae.
